Welcome Week is our on-campus orientation experience that kicks off the fall term for new students. You can view the schedule for this year below to get an idea of what to expect once you arrive on campus!

New Student Arrival Guide

The New Student Arrival Guide lays out each of the tasks you'll need to complete prior to your arrival, along with a timeline for those tasks.You'll receive email prompts when each of these items is available for completion. Please note that the guide is subject to change, and any adjustments will be communicated via your Berea College email.

Transfer Students

As a transfer student, we understand that your transition to Berea College is unique. Please explore the resources below, designed to address common questions and concerns we receive from students transferring to Berea College. You are considered a transfer student if you have attended a college course after graduating from high school.

Frequently Asked Questions

Move-in day is August 16, 2025. If you are an athlete, you may be asked to move in early, but the Athletics Department will be your primary contacts for that.

If you’re having trouble logging into your MyBerea account or Berea College email, it may be because you haven’t changed your password yet. To do so, go to passphrase.berea.edu. If changing your password doesn’t work, please call Student Success & Transition at 859-985-3376.

We will work with you to create your first-term schedule based on your submitted course preferences, test scores, and transfer credit as well as the requirements for all new Berea College students.

High school transcripts can be emailed to askadmissions@berea.edu or mailed to Berea College, Office of Admissions, CPO 2220, Berea, KY 40404.

 

All transfer credit and test scores (AP, CLEP, & IB) must be sent directly from the host institution or testing company via email to registrar@berea.edu or by mail to Berea College, Office of the Registrar, CPO 2168, Berea, KY 40404.

You will have the opportunity to upload a copy of your resume, which should include any past work or volunteer experience. Once this information is received, the Labor program will review it and make assignments accordingly. After your first year at Berea, you will have the opportunity to seek out a different Labor position on campus.

Summer Connections will take place June 20-21, 2025. Incoming students can choose to attend either session. You’ll receive an email from SST with information on how to sign up.

Yes, you can bring guests! Please indicate how many guests you are bringing in the electronic registration form.

Students are expected to stay on campus. Guests are welcome to stay on campus but not required to. There is no cost for on-campus housing during Summer Connections.
