Explore Open PositionsAll applications for faculty, staff, and temporary positions must be submitted through the official Berea College online portal. The process follows these five steps:
- Search: Find a position on our official job listings page.
- Log In: Click “Apply” to create or sign in to your Applicant Tracking System (ATS) profile.
- Complete Profile: Fill in mandatory contact, work history, and education fields.
- Upload: Attach required documents directly to the posting (do not email them).
- Submit: Review your information and click “Submit Application.”
Please note that this application will be saved and used to apply for future job openings, should you pursue other positions.
Required materials vary by position. Always check the specific job posting to avoid automatic disqualification. Common requirements include:
- Cover Letter: A 1–2 page letter highlighting your alignment with Berea’s mission and job duties. Address the letter to the Hiring Committee or the individual listed in the job description
- Resume or CV: Use a Curriculum Vitae (CV) for Faculty and a Resume for Staff positions.
- Professional References: A list of at least three contacts who can speak to your work performance.
- Additional Materials (Faculty): This may include a Teaching Statement, Research/Scholarship Statement, Diversity Statement, or Transcripts.
You can set up Email Job Alerts through our portal to receive notifications for 12 months:
- Log into your “School Jobs” account.
- Navigate to the “Menu” in the top left corner.
- Select “Email Job Alerts” and choose your preferred categories.
- Acknowledgement: You will receive an automated email confirmation immediately upon successful submission.
- Review: Timelines vary by position, but committees typically begin reviews shortly after the application deadline closes.
- Status Updates: To ensure a thoughtful review, only candidates selected for an interview will typically be contacted by the Hiring Committee. We appreciate your patience through this thorough and thoughtful review process.
