Sick Leave
Use this for your own illness, injury, medical appointments, or when you need to care for a sick family member. It ensures you can focus on recovery without worrying about a missed paycheck. Absences of three (3) or more days may qualify for Family Medical Leave, and employees should refer to that policy if applicable.

Vacation Time
Your accrued vacation time is meant for rest and relaxation. We encourage you to use this time regularly to maintain your well-being and return to campus refreshed.
Vacation accrual related are tied to employee status and years of service. See the table below for more information:
Exempt Employee

| 0-5 | 10 hours/ month | 15 days |
| 5+-15 years | 13.33 hours / month | 20 days |
| 15+ years | 14.67 hours / month | 22 days |
Non-Exempt Employees
| Years of Service | Annual Vacation |
| 0-5 years | 4.62 hours per pay period |
| 5+-15 years | 6.15 hours per pay period |
| 15+ years | 6.77 hours per pay period |

Volunteer Time
Consistent with our mission of service, Berea provides paid time for you to volunteer in the event of a regional emergency. This allows you to give back to your community in times of crisis.

Jury Duty
Berea College provides paid leave for employees summoned to serve on a jury or as a court witness, ensuring you can fulfill your civic duty without a loss in pay. Please provide your supervisor with a copy of your summons and your certification of service upon your return.

Election Day (Voting Leave)
To support your right to vote, the College offers up to two hours of paid leave for employees to visit the polls on Election Day. We ask that you coordinate your absence with your supervisor in advance to ensure departmental coverage while you
cast your ballot.
