Health, Education, and Services Application

The Appalachian Fund’s Advisory Council reviews Health, Education, and Service grant requests once a year. All funding requests for the 2027 grant period will be due by 11:59 p.m., Monday, October 19, 2026. Applications will not be accepted after this deadline. More information about the application process for the 2027 grant period will be posted in fall 2026.

The process is as follows:

Folk Arts and Cultures Initiative

The Appalachian Fund's Advisory Council reviews Folk Arts and Cultures grant requests once a year. All funding requests for the 2026-2027 grant period were due by 11:59 p.m., Monday, April 20, 2026.

The Advisory Council will review all completed applications in early June. Applicants will be notified of decisions in late June. Awarded funds will be disbursed after the grant agreement is signed, typically in July.

Funding requests for the 2027–2028 grant period will be due by 11:59 p.m., Monday, April 19, 2027. Applications will not be accepted after this deadline. More information about the application process for the 2027–2028 grant period will be posted in spring 2027.
